The d&b C7 system is ideal for small to medium applications, concerts, industrial productions and installations where controlled dispersion over a wide bandwidth is needed. Two stacks of d&b C7, each comprising 1 x d&b C7-TOP and 2 x d&b C7-SUB and driven by a d&b D12 amplifier, is sufficient to cover an audience of around 400 people in front of the stage. Additional d&b C7 and d&b C6 loudspeakers can be added for infill, delays or for larger venues. Where more bass is required d&b B2 Infrabass cabinets can also be added.
The d&b C7-SUB is a bass-reflex subwoofer specifically designed for use with the C7-TOP providing dynamic performance with high impulse program, a tight full sound and high efficiency. Its extra large bass-reflex tunnel guarantees high sound pressure while minimizing power compression and air turbulence noise. It can also be used in combination with the C6 to provide a powerful system for live music reinforcement. The C7-SUB cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact resistant paint finish, steel handles and an M20 threaded flange on the top to accept a loudspeaker stand. The front of the subwoofer cabinet is fitted with catches at the top and bottom for securing an optional transport lid, and mounted on the rear panel are ratchet strap guide plates, two hinge plates and four heavy duty wheels.
The C7-SUB can be driven either by d&b's D12 or E-PAC power amplifiers configured for the C7-SUB.
